Ferrarossa rose serum review

Hi boys and girls!

After a loooong hiatus, i decided to return to my blog.

So, for this post, im doing a review on the Ferrarossa Rose youth serum. 

For those who dont know the brand, ferrarossa beauty is a local brand own by FMluxebeauty sdn bhd. The founder, Ms Farah Munirah's a Makeup artist turn beauty founder. For more info on the brand, you can follow their ig: ferrarossabeauty or search them on facebook.

Back to the review part, I start using the serum right before MCO. So, during MCO time, i just keep using the serum and make it a habit of using it in the morning and before bed. The serum is very light, fast absorbing and not sticky at all. Rose scent are not so strong. Very subtle. 

So, after 2 months of using the serum, i can definitely see positive results. My face become brighter and the scar on my face become less noticeable. (btw, i have a combination skin.) this serum is suitable for all skin type. 

this one is my second bottle. im loving it so much that i decided the serum deserve a review😍

i wish i have pictures of me with no makeup to compare but i dont 😅. if u're looking for serum to invest or thinking about trying a new serum, u should give this serum a go! highly recommend by me!

Best Drugstore Primer For Oily Skin Uptodate (for me atleast )

So, last month, i was browsing thru the makeup isle at Watsons and come across RIMMEL LONDON rack.  My eyes immediately caught on their Stay matte primer. As I have an extremely oily face and havent found a good primer for my skin, i thought 'hmmm..lets give this primer a try'

To my surprise, i LOVE,LOVE,LOVEEEE this primer.. Tho, my skin is super oily, it actually better than most of the primer i tried before. *even the expensive one* My skin stay matte up to 5-6 hours before I have to blot. Thats good enough for me!! *only person with oily face understand gis..huhu*

So, boys and girls, if u are looking for affordable price primer that will definately helps your oily skin stay matte, I highly recommend you to try this primer!

I also grab their stay matte foundation while i was at it.
it's a mouse type foundation so, it's a bit thick for me. I apply i using fingers for a better application. i usually use beauty blender but with this foundation i like to use my finger.

Because of the thick consistency, i only applied a thin layer. use with the primer, this foundation is actually pretty good. 7.5 out of 10 if u ask me. Definitely worth trying for anybody who's looking for matte foundation.

Prepping your oily skin for make-up

Hi girls and guys!
Today my post is about how i prepare my skin for makeup everyday. I am not a makeup artist and this is all based on my own experience. I do wear makeup everyday complete with foundation and contouring and baking (please dont judge). i enjoy doing my makeup and it is kinda like a therapeutic. Best part of starting my day actually :).

So here are the steps:

1- After i cleanse my face, ill spray a bit of toner and rub em all over my face with cotton pads to clean it more. im using my SEPHORA instant refreshing toner for this.

2- After my toner dry, ill spray my b.liv got oil relief. this is actually a oil controlling toner and helps me with my excess oil secretion.

3- Then, ill put the b.liv oil leviate which have mattifying properties and will help my makeup look less oily.

4- Next step is my moisturizer. For a long time now i have been using bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base. this cream contain shea butter, vitamin C & E and it have been working wonders for me!

5- After moisturizer, i usually will continue with doing my brows and eye makeup and let all of the product get sunk in my skin before putting on primer and makeup.
*** extra step if u have very oily skin is to put a light coat of translucent powder after u put your primer on and before u put your foundation. This will help u too mattifying the skin even more.***

All of the products i use. U can see that my bobbi brown cream is almost finish and i need to get the new one.

Remember girls, with oily skin, u actually need to moisturize and hydrate more to make sure your skin dont have to secrete excess oil to "moist" your dehydrated skin. So, oily skin girls(like me) drink more water! and dont be afraid to moisturize okkk :)

The new Urban Decay All Nighter foundation- Right way (my way) to apply it- mini review

Hi girlllsss,

So, Urban Decay Malaysia just launch their All nighter foundation and im super excited about it!! heard this is THE holy grail if u have an oily face situation-as i do.  i got the foundation from my friend who is a makeup artist who receive lots of products from companies and she's so kind to gave me one!

i tried the foundation few times but not loving it. it was SOOO frustrating since i heard lots of good things about the product and the foundation just wasnt working for me. im still trying my best to get the right way to apply the foundation, even asking for tips from my makeup artist friend. Thank you to Syedewa for his tips, now i have the PERFECT way to apply the foundation and it was AAMAHHHZIINGGG..!! i just loveeee the foundation on my skin with the correct application. So, here's how i apply the foundation.

First, i cleanse my skin, and spray some toner on my face. after it dried up, i put a little eye serum to my undereye area (gotta get rid of those wrinklee) - im using KIEHL'S Powerful-Strenght Line- Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate (that's a mouthful!). Then, without using moisturizer or primer, i put the foundation straight to my face. Last time, i use moisturizer and primer but the foundation sit on my face funny and patchy. i think it was because the waterproof formulation, u need to have a dry- not so moisture skin so that the foundation will apply beautifully.

i have an oily skin, so after few hours, oil start to come out but it doesnt really bother me coz i can just blot them. but if the foundation is patchy from the start, that will be a big no-no for me.

another tips is to apply the foundation using brush and not beauty blender. im using my rm50 foundation brush that i purchase fromm Lash Bar. :)

i will definately keep using the foundation! Full coverage, flawless - when u apply it correctly, and a few will def give lots of coverage.

*this foundation oxidize- A LOT. So make sure u tried it and wait few minute to see the oxidation to see the color change before buying*

First time using the foundation, i use moisturizer, primer and then applied with brush but somehow it became streaky so i finished with beauty blender. but the finishing is a bit blachy and patchy. Also, it emphasis my pores when i apply it like this. 

This time, i use moisturizer, primer and then applied using my finger. Still not loving it. still patchy looking. i have to put lots of powder to cover up.

yaaassss! Third time's a charm!! im absolutely loving it!!! NO primer, NO moisturizer. Foundation straight on the face using brush and it was wonderful!!

a little update - makeup shopping and reviews

i was broke for the past few months! haha

but that definitely didn't stop me from doing not so much needed make up shopping. here are reviews of the products that i bought and have been using for past months or so.

So sephora was having their 20% off storewide last month and i as a makeup addict and junkie totally fall for it and went to sephora to buy things i dont need (NO! i soooo needd this!! hahaha)

BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION- TOO FACED

-my second time buying this foundation. i absolutely love this!! excellent coverage and it doesn't look cakey at all. but for oily face u might need to blot your face once in a while when wearing this.

DIOR ADDICT GLOSS IN 656

-originally i wanted to buy another marc jacobs gloss until i realize they just increase their prices!! from 99 to 120(if im not mistaken)-soo mad! Sooo, since i still want a gloss, i just widen my search to other brand. This dior gloss is sooo gorgeous. it is orange with hint of pink. i can wear it by itself, or on top of pink or orange hue lipstick. Sometimes, u're just tired of matte lipstick that u need a little gloss in your life righhtt? hihi

URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN CONCEALER

- been hearing lots of good things about this concealer so i decided to try em myself and i have to say im not dissapointed! totally love this one and i actually replace my NARS creamy concealer with this one. NARS one is good but a bit more pricey. This one only rm90 and with 20% off it is totally a good bargain! i love it so much that i use only this concealer and compact powder on my face when i was on my holiday to Jakarta. No foundation, only concealer and powder!

-this is a thing that i absolutely dont need to buy! my other beauty blender is perfectly find. But i just buy another one IN CASE something is ought to happen to my now own beauty blender. huhuu

that is it! im pretty proud of myself tho. only 4 products from the sephora sales. hihii

The latest foundation from Loreal. The Mat Magique 12H foundation. i was eying this foundation for quite sometimes before i decide to buy em. im constantly looking for matte foundation since i have oily skin. i was pretty skeptical at first since the box said this product only giving semi-matte finishes. BUTTT, i bought it anyway (after looking at it for 11th time- every time i went to drugstore) andddd, i actually loving this foundation! medium-full coverage, and as they said semi-matte finises which is not so bad. i would totally recommend you guys to try this foundation.

And this one, the latest foundation from URBAN DECAY. The all nighter foundation. i was absolutely excited to know they launch this product in Malaysia mainly because ive been hearing a lot of good things about this foundation from a lot of Youtuber. So, when my good friend, ms Ferrarosa gave me this foundation, i was extremely excited to try them on! HOWEVER, i dont know if it's my skin, or the way i apply the foundation, this foundation looks so patchy on my face. it also settle into my scars like clog-pore.Not pretty u guys.. i tried applying it with brush --> end up too streaky, apply with beauty blender --> beauty blender will 'soak up' the product so u left with no to very little product on your face, and i tried applying with my fingers. Still patchy ;( Im still trying to find the best way to apply this foundation coz i want to love it sooooo bad. One of my MUA friend told me he apply the foundation with no moisturizer and primer and the foundation looks amazing..hmmm...maybe ill try that trick. Tho, im not sure whether it's a good idea to put on foundation without primer or not. 

oh, this foundation is WATERPROOF!! i think the waterproofing formula is messing with the foundation and that is why it is hard to apply. and another downside, it oxidize a lot. i have to take shade 3.0. But i have to say im still not so happy with the shade after it oxidize. i think i need to change to new shade. uuughhhh! why is this product giving me sooo much problem when i want to love it sooo muchh! stress kehh!

Oily Skin Makeup Fix/Solution

So this post today is about skin problem that is very close to my heart. OILY SKIN..

Usually there are 2 reason why your skin gets oily. 1) u have an overproduction oil - usually u'l have lots of skin problem such as acne 2) De-hydration problem that cause your skin to feel 'thirsty' thus producing more oil to make it more 'hydrate'

i too have an oily skin and mine is because of dehydration. Usually it will get super oily after 2-3 hours of application of makeup. i have to do a lot of blotting and touch up which can be pretty annoying.

For the past weeks i have been trying this several product and i got a very good result from it which is why im super cited to share this with u guys.

B.Liv got oil relief spray and oil leviate serum

This product supposedly help the skin oil production. I spray the got oil relief after i cleanse my face and let it dry then i continue with oil leviate serum. Then, i just continue with my usually daily skincare routine and prep my makeup.(usually put on eye serum and moisturizer).   

Baby skin primer and Essence all about matt fixing compact powder.

The primer help to prep my make-up and smooth my skin. also help my skin stay matte throughout the day. And after i finish doing my makeup, ill put the fixing compact powder. Usually ill bring this compact powder for touch up purpose but so far i rarely need a touch up lately. Skin stay matte and a lot less oily!!

All of the product i show today are very cheap and each of them cost me less than rm35.

1)B.Liv got oil relief spray   --- RM 15

2)B.Liv oil leviate serum   --- RM35

I bought both of this product during SASA sale which is why they are super cheap.

3)Maybelline Baby skin primer   ---RM29.90

4)Essence all about matt fixing compact powder.    ---RM16.90

And these two products i bought at watson and that is the normal price. Cheap righhhttt!!

I hope u girls will get to try the product and fix your oily skin problem especially when wearing makeup. im glad i found all of these product because i wear makeup everyday for work and for at least 6-8 hours too. So, oily skin really is annoying to me. All of these products are cheap and drugstore product so i think this could be your to go to fix first before trying the much more expensive products. So, go try this girllss! and GOOD LUCK!
